Light Painting is created using lights such fairy lights, LED’s, torches, gels, sparklers, steel wool and various hand made tools for attachments.

Like to learn how to light paint and how to shoot light painting? Create cool fun images at night? Come along to this 2 hour workshop to learn and create cool images with me Benjamin and creative Mick Russell - Video and Photography.

Yes! Our Light Painting Workshop is run by two photographers, so our group of up to eight get a hands on helpful experience. One of us is behind the cameras with you while the creates the magic!

If you own a DSLR or Mirrorless camera then this workshop is for you.

On the Night:

We will be chatting about how your cameras shutter speed, ISO and aperture work together in relation to capturing steel wool, LED's night images.
You will learn how to capture awesome light painting photos and also participate in creating some images too. We will discuss and help you with composition, giving your photos that WOW factor.

What you need:

  • Camera and a lens that allows you to manual focus.

  • No tripod? No problems, I am MeFOTO tripod Ambassador so let me know and you can borrow a MeFoto Australia tripod if you don't have one.

  • Remote shutter release (optional)

  • Camera manual

Max 8 people for this workshop, as we want you to walk away feeling confident having had a fun time with a bundle of awesome light painting images to take home and edit.

The workshop is kept small, so everyone gets ample time for help and to ask questions. See what people have said about my workshops here.
