Photography One on One Wildlife Waves and hopefully Whales Workshop

On a One on One Workshop get the knowledge and know-how through active learning at Cape Schanck Lighthouse Reserve some of the Mornington Peninsula’s most beautiful coastline for photography. Get the most out of your time with one-on-one lessons (learn on location).

PLEASE NOTE: To book this workshop please purchase your workshop, once booked I will contact you within 24-48hrs to arrange a time and date suitable for us both. Please note the WHALES only migrate along the Mornington Peninsula between June to late August. I can not guarantee sightings of whales, but we discuss the how too and also use the settings to photography other wildlife and waves while waiting for them.

Choose a workshop length that is right for you:

3hr - One location / 5hr - Two locations

This is a Wildlife and Waves workshop based around learning how to get the most out of your gear when photographing animals and faster moving objects. For this workshop it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you own a telephoto lens with a minimum of 300mm focal length.

The best lenses for this workshop will be 75-300mm, 100-400mm, 100-500mm, 150-600mm or 800mm.

Ben is an official Samyang Optics Australia Ambassador, Athabasca Filters Australia Ambassador and supported Benro Tripods Australia.

Workshops are available for all skill levels, as each one is tailored around your needs.

What you will learn.

  • Aperture, ISO, Shutter speed for photographing waves and wildlife

  • Histogram

  • Manual, Shutter and Aperture priority modes

  • Composition - Rule of thirds and breaking it

  • Manual focus vs Autofocus for wildlife and whales photographs

  • Depth of Field

  • Use of filters from an Athabasca, tripod from Benro if needed

  • Gain the confidence to go your own way and develop your own personal style
